Sewing

This project was definitely the Goliath that dominated most of my time last summer! This dress is is called a "Jingle Dress," a worn in ceremonial dances by the Nez Pierce tribe of Native American Indians. The toughest part of creating the dress was the fact that I had no pattern to go off of. A lot of guesswork was involved! No doubt the most laborious part was individually sewing on the 300+ tin cones! However, I am very pleased with the result, and can't wait to wear it for Thanksgiving...

Painting

This past school year, I decided to overcome my fear of the paint brush and jump into an Intro to Painting class! After many hours of frustration and wondering "Why can't I just use a pencil...?" I was able to come up with a couple pretty nice pieces. This one is by far my favorite. Any Norman Rockwell fans out there? He's my favorite artist EVER, and this painting is my tribute to him...
